Abstract:

Employee well-being has become a critical concern for organizations, particularly in service-oriented sectors such as education, where employees play a pivotal role in delivering quality outcomes. In recent years, increasing workload, performance pressure, and emotional demands have significantly affected the well-being of employees in educational institutions, thereby influencing their level of organizational commitment. Organizational commitment reflects the psychological attachment of employees to their institution and is essential for employee retention, job satisfaction, and overall organizational effectiveness. The present study aims to examine the relationship between employee well-being and organizational commitment among service sector employees, with special reference to the education industry in Bangalore. The study focuses on both teaching and non-teaching staff working in selected educational institutions. . The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using convenience sampling. Secondary data were collected from books, journals, and published research articles. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, mean, and correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings of the study reveal that employee well-being has a significant positive relationship with organizational commitment. The research provides valuable insights for educational administrators and HR managers to develop employee-centric well-being strategies.
