Abstract:

Digital transformation (DT) is fundamentally reshaping the role of Human Resource (HR) management by integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), cloud computing, and big data analytics into HR processes. This paper investigates the influence of digital transformation on HR functions, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and strategic decision-making. The study reviews contemporary literature to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities associated with DT in HR. Methodologically, a mixed-method approach combining surveys of HR professionals and secondary data analysis is employed to assess the adoption, benefits, and limitations of digital technologies in HR practices. Results indicate that DT enhances HR efficiency, employee experience, and decision-making capabilities, but challenges such as data security, employee resistance, and skill gaps remain significant. The study concludes by highlighting practical implications for organizations and providing recommendations for future research on leveraging emerging technologies to shape the HR function of the future.
